Connecting the WHY to the HOW

Prepare for your first-time journey

Who We Are

Our Vision: We envision a world where individuals are empowered to make a transformative impact through their service to others. We aim to build lasting relationships and vibrant communities including foundational aspects of life changing experiences.

Our mission is to prepare and support individuals considering their first-time journey to help others by providing essential training, resources, and guidance, ensuring that they are culturally sensitive as well as mentally and physically prepared. By collaborating with local communities and international organizations, we aim to create a meaningful and sustainable impact on all those that we serve, thus fostering mutual growth and understanding. In light of our shared goals and values, we believe that a collaboration between our organizations could significantly enhance our effort and bring about substantial benefits to the communities we serve by connecting people and providing education, encouragement, support  and resources to help aging individuals and their families thrive.

Connecting Hearts to Service—Across the Nation and Around the World.

We strengthen humanitarian work across the nation and around the world by partnering with trusted nonprofits and connecting volunteers to mission opportunities that align with their heart for service. Through these partnerships, we help bring compassionate healthcare, education, and essential support to underserved communities—creating meaningful impact wherever the need is greatest.

Impact Stories

Elijah's Story
Elijah reached out one afternoon after hearing about our volunteer journey connections. He said he felt drawn to do something meaningful and asked if we could meet. We sat down at a Del Taco, and over tacos and conversation, he began to share his story.

Not long ago, Elijah had faced a season of housing insecurity—a difficult time brought on by a few poor decisions. But now, living with his brother, he’s rebuilding his life with purpose. Every Tuesday morning, the two of them make pancakes in a local park for people experiencing homelessness. Elijah told me that those mornings bring him peace—that helping others gives him hope.

As we talked, it became clear to both of us that his heart was already exactly where it needed to be. We connected him with the Illumination Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals facing housing insecurity. Today, Elijah volunteers there regularly—bringing his compassion, his story, and his smile to others walking the same path he once did.

This is what we do—and why we do it.
